FAST Logistics Group, the Philippines’ leading end-to-end logistics company, has formalized a partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region IV-A to create sustainable employment pathways for beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).
The partnership, solidified through a recently signed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), aims to directly support the government’s efforts in poverty alleviation by offering stable, long-term career opportunities to low-income families as they transition out of the conditional cash grant program.
FAST Logistics CEO for Logistics, Manuel L. Onrejas Jr., highlighted the deeper purpose behind the company’s operations. “Our commitment to providing Logistics Para Sa Bayan is about more than moving goods from Point A to Point B; it’s about moving lives forward and uplifting Filipino communities,” Onrejas said. “Through this partnership with DSWD Region IV-A, we are empowering qualified 4Ps beneficiaries with stable employment and clear opportunities for growth within our organization.”
The MOA ensures that FAST will prioritize qualified 4Ps beneficiaries in its ongoing recruitment efforts across CALABARZON (Region IV-A). New hires will be guaranteed decent, safe, and inclusive workplaces, with adherence to all labor laws and social protection standards.
DSWD Region IV-A Regional Director Dr. Barry R. Chua and CEO Onrejas Jr. officially signed the agreement, marking a significant step toward strengthening employment outcomes across the region.
To immediately launch the program, FAST will host an exclusive job fair for 4Ps beneficiaries in Laguna on November 12. The event will focus on filling critical roles in logistics operations, particularly within warehousing and other key business functions, where FAST sees high demand.
As one of the country’s largest providers of stable and long-term employment, FAST maintains a workforce of over 12,000 employees nationwide and hires an average of 300 new individuals weekly. The company views this collaboration as crucial for both nation-building and meeting its own growing manpower needs.
“Dedicated employees power our business and help us deliver top-notch logistics every single day,” Onrejas added. “We want to make logistics a clear pathway for upliftment, providing rewarding careers to more Filipinos who are eager to work, learn, and build a better future.”
