The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Regional Office IV-A is issuing a public advisory regarding scheduled road rehabilitation works that will affect traffic flow at a critical intersection in Calamba City, Laguna.
The DPWH will be conducting necessary rotomilling and asphalt overlay works on the intersection of Maharlika Highway (Manila South Road) and Calamba-Sta. Cruz Famy Jct. Road in Barangay Uno, Calamba, Laguna.
These essential road maintenance activities are scheduled to take place over four consecutive nights:
- Dates: Monday, November 17, 2025 through Friday, November 21, 2025 (completing the work early Friday morning).
- Time: 11:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. daily.
The public is advised to expect moderate to heavy traffic congestion during these hours due to the deployment of construction equipment and personnel, as well as the necessary lane closures required to execute the work safely.
Motorists traveling through Calamba during the specified late-night/early-morning window are strongly encouraged to:
Seek alternative routes, if available.
Allow for significantly extended travel time.
Exercise extreme caution when approaching the construction zone.
These rehabilitation efforts are critical to improving the longevity, safety, and ride quality of these vital national roads, which serve as key connectors for commuters and commercial transport traversing the CALABARZON region.
DPWH Regional Office IV-A thanks the motoring public for their continued cooperation, patience, and understanding as we work to upgrade our road infrastructure. The agency is committed to completing these activities promptly and minimizing disruption to the extent possible.
For further updates and concerns, the public may contact the DPWH Regional Office IV-A.
