MARINA invites first-time Certificate of Competency holders to oath-taking ceremony

The Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) cordially announces and invites all eligible seafarers who are first-time holders of key officer-level Certificates of Competency (COC) to a special Oath Taking Ceremony.

This significant event marks the official recognition of their professional qualifications and commitment to the highest standards of the maritime profession.

Venue AMOSUP Convention Hall, Intramuros, Manila

The invitation is specifically extended to seafarers who are receiving their COC for the first time in the following capacities:

  • Master Mariner

  • Chief Engineer Officer

  • Chief Mate

  • Second Engineer Officer

  • Officer-In-Charge of a Navigational Watch (OIC-NW)

  • Officer-In-Charge of an Engineering Watch (OIC-EW)

Interested and eligible seafarers must register to secure their slot for the ceremony.

Registration may close earlier if the venue reaches its maximum capacity. Seafarers are strongly encouraged to register promptly to avoid missing this milestone event.

All registered participants will receive essential updates regarding the ceremony, including the specific time, attire, and other critical details.

  • Confirmation Provider: The Examination and Assessment Division (EAD) of the Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping (STCW) Office.

  • Method: Confirmation and details will be sent to the registered email address provided by the seafarer.
