The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) announced the successful conclusion of its second Airport Security Program (ASP) Writing Workshop, held from November 17 to 21, 2025, at the Savoy Hotel in Pasay City.
The intensive five-day training was a critical component of CAAP’s ongoing commitment to strengthening aviation security across all CAAP-operated airports nationwide. The workshop focused on equipping airport managers and security personnel with the necessary skills to develop clear, robust, and compliant aviation security programs.
Held in close collaboration with the Office for Transportation Security (OTS), the session emphasized adherence to the rigorous standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Annex 17 and the National Civil Aviation Security Program (NCASP). This ensures that the resulting security frameworks are highly responsive to global and national mandates.
During the closing ceremony, MGen Ricardo C Banayat, AFP (Ret), Assistant Director General of the CAAP Security and Intelligence Service (CSIS), congratulated the participants. He urged them to continuously leverage their new expertise to actively foster CAAP’s core mission of enhancing national air travel safety and security.
The successful conclusion of this second batch marks a major step forward in CAAP’s continuous efforts to maintain the highest levels of safety and security in the Philippine skies, underscoring the agency’s dedication to world-class aviation standards.
