The Office for Transportation Security (OTS) is proactively enhancing security measures ahead of the anticipated surge in holiday travelers, with Administrator Undersecretary Gilberto Cruz leading a comprehensive security inspection at Clark International Airport (CRK) on Friday, December 5, 2025.
Usec. Cruz’s inspection focused on assessing potential security challenges that Security Screening Officers (SSOs) may face during the busy Christmas season. This critical oversight is in direct response to the directive of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. to ensure a comfortable, accessible, safe, and secure transportation system for all Filipinos.
During the visit, Usec. Cruz meticulously reviewed several key operational areas:
Passenger Screening Protocols: Ensuring efficiency and adherence to the highest safety standards.
Operational Readiness: Verifying the preparedness of airport facilities and security equipment.
Resource Allocation: Confirming that airport screening checkpoints are fully equipped and staffed to manage the substantial increase in traveler volume while maintaining top-tier standards of safety and security service.
