The airline became the first to successfully generate, edit, and publish AI-created commercial videos end-to-end during a flight, powered by Starlink’s high-speed, low-latency satellite connectivity.
While the resulting AI-generated commercials served as a flashy headline, the true innovation lies beneath: the live demonstration showcased an aircraft cabin’s transformation into a fully functional, high-bandwidth cloud workspace.
The collaboration focused on testing the capability of Google’s Gemini AI models to run computationally intensive video-generation tasks, seamlessly integrated with a full cloud-based creative workflow, all while the aircraft was cruising. The resounding success confirms that modern air travel can now support the demands of high-performance, real-time professional work.
