In the spirit of the Filipino tradition of coming home for the holidays, San Miguel Corporation (SMC) and Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) are once again partnering to provide free passage across all major expressways during Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
The “Toll-Free” initiative aims to ease the travel burden for thousands of motorists heading to the provinces to celebrate with their families, ensuring a smoother and more joyful holiday journey.
The toll waiver will be implemented during the following windows:

Christmas: From 10:00 PM on December 24 to 6:00 AM on December 25.

New Year: From 10:00 PM on December 31 to 6:00 AM on January 1, 2026.
The waiver applies to all vehicle classes (Class 1, 2, and 3) across the following networks:

Both SMC and MPTC emphasize that while tolls are waived during these hours, all safety protocols and speed limits remain strictly enforced. Motorists are encouraged to:

Check their vehicles: Ensure “BLOWBAGETS” (Brakes, Lights, Oil, Water, Batteries, Air, Gas, Engine, Tires, Self) are in good condition.

Plan ahead: Anticipate heavy traffic outside of the free-toll windows.

RFID Readiness: Keep your RFID accounts active and topped up for travel outside the waived periods to avoid delays at the gates.
“We want to make the journey home as seamless as possible for our fellow Filipinos,” a joint statement from the operators noted. “By waiving toll fees during these peak celebration hours, we hope to share the holiday spirit and thank our motorists for their continued patronage.”
