DOT launches medical tourism concierge at NAIA Terminal 3 to elevate global healthcare travel experience

The Department of Tourism (DOT) has officially unveiled the Medical Tourism Concierge and Transit Tour Booth at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3. Located at Arrival Bay 14, this first-of-its-kind hub is designed to provide a seamless, high-touch entry point for international patients seeking world-class healthcare and wellness services in the Philippines.

The initiative aims to position the Philippines as a premier global destination for medical travel by ensuring that the patient’s journey towards healing begins the moment they land.

The Medical Tourism Concierge offers dedicated support for both walk-in travelers and those with pre-booked appointments at DOT-accredited healthcare institutions. Upon arrival, patients and their companions can access a suite of specialized services, including:

  • Dedicated Assistance: Facilitated coordination through Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine (CIQ) procedures.

  • Logistics & Transfers: Immediate coordination of transportation to partner hospitals and clinics directly from the baggage claim area.

  • Comfort & Information: Access to a comfortable lounge and comprehensive orientations on the country’s diverse medical and wellness offerings.

  • Transit Tours: Introduction to short-term leisure activities for companions or patients cleared for light travel.

The concierge works in direct partnership with the country’s leading medical and wellness providers to ensure a gold standard of care. Featured partners include:

  • Hospitals: Asian Hospital and Medical Center, Makati Medical Center, St. Luke’s Medical Center, and The Medical City.

  • Specialized Clinics: Belo Medical Group, Gan Advanced Osseointegration Center (GAOC), Novodental, and Urban Smiles.

  • Industry Advocates: Wellness Tourism Association of the Philippines (WeTAP).

By prioritizing safety, convenience, and the signature Filipino brand of hospitality, the DOT is transforming the traditional airport arrival into a “seamless care” experience. This strategic move addresses the growing global demand for high-quality, affordable medical procedures paired with world-renowned recovery environments.

“The launch of this concierge service is a testament to our commitment to making the Philippines a top-of-mind choice for medical travelers,” the DOT stated. “We are not just offering treatments; we are offering a stress-free journey where comfort and care are guaranteed from the very first step.”
