Megawide secures lease agreement with Baguio City government for BCIT project

Megawide Construction Corporation (Megawide), one of the country’s leading engineering and infrastructure innovators, announced today that it has formally executed a Lease Agreement with the City Government of Baguio for the development of the Baguio City Integrated Terminal (BCIT) Project.

The signing of the Lease Agreement follows Megawide’s receipt of the Notice of Award dated 17 October 2025, confirming the company’s selection as the Private Sector Proponent for the BCIT initiative. The project carries an estimated total cost of ₱1.186 billion, underscoring Megawide’s continued commitment to modernizing essential transport and commercial infrastructure across the Philippines.

Under the agreement, Megawide will undertake the development, construction, implementation, and operation of a fully integrated transport terminal complemented by mixed commercial facilities within the leased premises. The lease period will run until the earlier of the 40th anniversary of the construction start date or the expiration of the applicable usufruct arrangement.

“We are honored to partner with the City Government of Baguio on this transformative project,” the company said. “The BCIT development aligns with our mission to deliver high‑quality, future‑ready infrastructure that enhances mobility, supports local economic activity, and improves the overall commuter experience.”

The BCIT Project is envisioned to streamline transport operations, reduce congestion, and provide a modern gateway for residents and visitors entering the city.

Megawide will proceed with the next steps in accordance with the conditions outlined in the Notice of Award and the executed Lease Agreement.
