The Mactan Expo Center officially opened its doors to the global travel industry as Cebu welcomes the ASEAN Travel Exchange (TRAVEX) 2026. As the crown jewel of the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF), TRAVEX serves as the region’s premier tourism trade marketplace, bringing together buyers from 50 countries to explore the pulse of Southeast Asian hospitality.
Running from January 28 to 30, 2026, the three-day event is designed to facilitate high-stakes business engagement. It serves as a centralized hub where destinations, luxury experiences, and strategic partnerships converge to promote ASEAN as a unified, “seamless” multi-destination travel experience.
The return of TRAVEX to Cebu underscores the Philippines’ pivotal role in regional cooperation. By hosting this exchange, the Philippines reaffirms its commitment to the ASEAN Tourism Strategic Plan, which focuses on sustainability, digital integration, and community-based tourism.
“Hosting TRAVEX in Cebu once again places the Philippines at the heart of ASEAN tourism cooperation,” the organizing committee stated. “This isn’t just a trade show; it’s a platform for connecting cultures, empowering local communities, and bridging the gap between global markets and Southeast Asian wonders.”
