PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting Services Philippines Co. Ltd. (PwC Philippines) and Cebu Pacific Air (CEB), the Philippines’ leading carrier, officially launched a landmark digital transformation project today during a signing ceremony at the Hilton Manila Newport World Resorts.
This strategic partnership marks a significant milestone in Cebu Pacific’s commitment to operational excellence. The project focuses on implementing SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud, which will serve as the airline’s core finance and operations system. By migrating to this advanced enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform, Cebu Pacific aims to streamline its complex financial processes, enhance data-driven decision-making, and bolster its agility in a rapidly evolving aviation landscape.
While the aviation industry faces fluctuating global fuel prices and shifting travel demands, Cebu Pacific is investing in its digital backbone to ensure long-term resilience. The SAP S/4HANA implementation will provide:
Real-time Financial Insights: Improved transparency and faster closing cycles.
Operational Efficiency: Integrated workflows across maintenance, supply chain, and finance.
Scalability: A robust cloud infrastructure designed to grow alongside the airline’s fleet expansion.
“As we continue to fly more people to more destinations, our goal is to ensure our internal systems are as efficient and reliable as our flight operations,” said Mark Cezar, Chief Financial Officer of Cebu Pacific. “This partnership with PwC Philippines is a critical step in our digital roadmap, ensuring we remain the country’s most innovative and cost-efficient carrier.”
Mark Cezar and Veronica R. Bartolome, Managing Principal of PwC Philippines, led the ceremony. They were joined by key leaders from both organizations, including Dave Chen of PwC South East Asia Consulting, and Karthik Viswanathan, James Deri, and Ralph de Jesus of PwC Philippines.
“We are honored to be Cebu Pacific’s trusted advisor on this journey,” said Veronica R. Bartolome. “The move to SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud is not just a technical upgrade; it is a fundamental shift in how the organization leverages data. Our team is committed to delivering a seamless transition that empowers Cebu Pacific to maintain its competitive edge.”
The implementation phase begins immediately, with both teams working closely to ensure the platform is tailored to the unique regulatory and operational requirements of the Philippine aviation sector.
