BPI ranks as top Philippine firm in TIME’s “Asia-Pacific’s Best Companies 2026,” breaking into regional top 10

Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) has solidified its position as a regional financial powerhouse, leading the roster of Philippine firms in the prestigious TIME and Statista “Asia-Pacific’s Best Companies 2026” list. BPI distinguished itself as the only company from the Philippines to break into the regional Top 10.

The annual ranking by TIME and Statista evaluates 500 of the region’s most influential organizations through a rigorous, data-driven framework. Companies are measured against three core pillars of corporate excellence:

  • Employee Satisfaction: Assessing workplace culture, inclusivity, and talent retention.

  • Revenue Growth: Evaluating financial momentum and market competitiveness.

  • ESG Performance: Measuring commitment to environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and transparent governance. “This recognition is meaningful because it reflects how BPI continues to perform across the pillars that matter—our people, our financial strength, and our responsibility to society,” said TG Limcaoco, BPI President and CEO. “We are dedicated to building a better Philippines, one family and one community at a time.”

BPI’s top-tier ranking arrives at a historic juncture for the institution. The bank is currently preparing to celebrate its 175th Anniversary on August 1, 2026, marking nearly two centuries of financial leadership in Southeast Asia.

The bank’s inclusion in the Top 10 underscores the success of its digital transformation and customer-centric strategies, which have allowed it to maintain robust growth while adhering to global ESG standards.

“As we celebrate our 175th year, this recognition affirms that our long-term strategy is delivering results while staying true to our mission of being a trusted financial partner,” Limcaoco added. “It strengthens our resolve to keep driving meaningful progress for generations to come.”
