MSLI strengthens fleet with the departure of brand-new ROPAX Vessel, M/V Santa Dorothea

Montenegro Shipping Lines, Inc. (MSLI) is proud to announce that its newest ROPAX vessel, M/V Santa Dorothea, has officially commenced her maiden voyage to the Philippines. After successfully departing the Xiamen Anchorage on February 10, 2026, the vessel is currently steaming toward the Port of Batangas, with an expected arrival on the morning of Friday, February 13, 2026.

The Santa Dorothea marks a significant milestone in MSLI’s fleet modernization program, representing the 9th vessel in the renowned “Santa” Series and the company’s 89th vessel overall.

Built at the same premier shipyard in Fujian, China, as her sister vessel, M/V Santa Juliana, the Santa Dorothea is a product of rigorous maritime engineering. Her journey from concept to sea was swift:

  • Steel-Cutting: December 18, 2024

  • Official Launch: December 12, 2025

  • Sea Trials: Completed January 26, 2026, clocking an impressive top speed of 15.6 knots.

The vessel is registered under the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS), ensuring she meets the highest global standards for safety, structural integrity, and environmental protection.
