Renewal of service and repair shops accreditation jump

Service and repair enterprises (SREs) across the country renewed their accreditation on time for 2026, with the Department of Trade and Industry–Fair Trade Enforcement Bureau (DTI-FTEB) receiving 495 renewal applications submitted through its online Integrated Registration and Information System (IRegIS) by the January 31 deadline.
Of these, 118 renewals have already been approved by the DTI-FTEB, marking a significant increase from 94 approvals recorded by the same time last year, while processing for the remaining applications is still ongoing. The timely renewal enables SREs to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, keep business information up to date, and retain valid authority to operate.
For new SRE registrations, 6 out of 51 applications evaluated in January have already been approved by the bureau.
Under Presidential Decree No. 1572 and Article 128 of Republic Act No. 7394 or the Consumer Act of the Philippines, all service and repair enterprises must secure DTI accreditation valid until December 31, and renew it by January 31 each year to avoid a 25% late fee.
Covered establishments include those engaged in the service and repair of motor vehicles, machinery, electronics, electrical, refrigeration and air conditioning, office machine and data processing equipment, medical and dental equipment, heavy equipment, and similar enterprises.
As part of its regulatory mandate, DTI-FTEB conducts onsite evaluations and assessments of service and repair firms. In 2025, the bureau inspected a total of 408 SREs to ensure compliance with mandatory accreditation requirements and issued 201 Show Cause Orders (SCOs) to those found operating without proper certification under the DTI.
The registration for accreditation and renewal may be completed through the IRegIS portal, for the ease and convenience of clients. To view the complete requirements and information, visit https://iregis.dti.gov.ph.
