The Department of Tourism (DOT), in partnership with South Pacific Events & Marketing Co., launched the Philippine Golf Convention 2026 on March 14 at the SMX Convention Center.
This landmark two-day event serves as a unified platform for enthusiasts, industry professionals, and tourism stakeholders to converge and shape the future of the sport in the region.
The convention features a comprehensive Golf Pavilion, acting as a high-energy marketplace for the latest industry trends. From professional-grade gear and cutting-edge technology to luxury travel and bespoke golf experiences, the event showcases the diversity and growth of the Philippine golf landscape.
The event has drawn an impressive assembly of 36 exhibitors, representing a cross-section of the domestic and international golf sectors:
-
Government & Regulatory Bodies: DOT and the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA).
-
Sporting Organizations: Leading golf associations and premier golf course representatives.
-
Travel & Hospitality: Specialized tour operators, travel agencies, and world-class local and international hotel brands.
At the heart of the convention is a focus on the digital evolution of the sport. Attendees can explore and experience:
-
Advanced Training Tech: South Korean-engineered training machines designed for high-precision home practice.
-
Immersive Simulations: State-of-the-art golf simulators offering realistic course play.
-
Sustainable Infrastructure: Hybrid golf course equipment aimed at improving maintenance efficiency and environmental impact.
-
Educational Growth: A series of business forums and masterclasses led by industry veterans to foster professional development.
Recognizing golf as a significant pillar of tourism, the DOT has established a dedicated booth to assist business owners with the DOT Accreditation process. Furthermore, TIEZA is conducting specialized briefings on tax and duty incentives available to registered business enterprises, designed to bolster the competitiveness of the Philippines in the global golf market.
“This convention is more than an exhibition; it is a strategic gathering to position the Philippines as a top-tier destination for golf travelers worldwide,” said a representative from the organizing committee.
