Aboitiz InfraCapital adds fresh F&B and retail options at Laguindingan & Bohol-Panglao International Airports

Aboitiz InfraCapital, Inc. (AIC), the infrastructure arm of the Aboitiz Group, is expanding food, beverage, and retail offerings at two of its gateways—Laguindingan International Airport (LIA) in Misamis Oriental and Bohol–Panglao International Airport (BPIA) in Bohol.

These form part of AIC Airports’ broad efforts beginning late last year to delight travelers and enhance passenger experience while unlocking greater commercial value across its growing airports platform.

“Enhancing the commercial ecosystem of our airports is an important part of improving the overall travel experience. By optimizing commercial layouts and partnering with both established and emerging brands, we aim to create vibrant terminal environments that serve passengers while supporting local businesses,” said AIC Vice President and Head of Airports Rafael M. Aboitiz.

These changes were complemented by AIC Airports’ targeted refurbishments of retail areas and dining zones to create a more cohesive and accessible commercial environment for travelers.

New Spots at Laguindingan International Airport

At LIA, the country’s seventh-busiest airport and Mindanao’s second-busiest, new food and retail outlets have begun opening as part of a refreshed commercial mix.

Among the new brands now serving passengers are Bo’s Coffee, Dunkin’, Leylam, Totsy’s, Hey Missy, Potato Corner, Famous Belgian Waffles, Island Taste by Tomarong Cashew Nuts, while Seattle’s Best Coffee and WH Smith were newly refurbished, all of which offer a range of quick meals, coffee, and local dining options for travelers passing through LIA.

Retail offerings have also expanded with the opening of Islands Souvenirs, NOMAD, and two NOMAD Express stores, providing travelers with locally inspired apparel, customizable travel memorabilia, and regional treats, including proudly local products carried by the Department of Trade and Industry’s OTOP (DTI’s One Town, One Product) stores.

A Union Bank of the Philippines automated teller machine (UnionBank ATM) can now also be accessed by passengers at LIA’s arrival area.

New Spots at Bohol-Panglao International Airport

Not to be outdone, BPIA, the country’s tenth-busiest airport, has also unveiled various retail brands to cater to passengers traveling through the country’s “Green Gateway to the World.”

These include one Duty Free, one MOMENTO, one NOMAD, and three NOMAD Express stores. Like LIA, a number of these stores also proudly carry Boholano products under DTI’s OTOP program.

Similarly, a UnionBank ATM is now serving passenger’s quick banking needs at BPIA’s arrival area.

AIC Airports is currently undertaking the development and modernization of LIA and BPIA over the short- to medium-term beginning 2025, through a broader transformation under the multi-year concession agreements awarded by the government in 2024.

Through these airport public-private partnerships, AIC Airports aims to strengthen domestic and regional connectivity, support local tourism, and contribute to economic development by enabling more efficient movement of people and commerce – connecting people, places, and possibilities.

United under a single vision, AIC Airports is developing a growing network of world-class airports across the Philippines, with these gateways having collectively served around 16 million passengers by end-2025, accounting for over 20% of the country’s passenger traffic. This includes the award-winning and world-class Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA).

Starting 2025 and in partnership with relevant local government units, the Department of Transportation, Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, and Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority (for MCIA), AIC Airports has begun introducing modernization initiatives aimed at further elevating the passenger experience and strengthening the global competitiveness of Philippine airports.
