Manila South Harbor welcomes luxury cruise ship Azamara Onward for an overnight visit

The Port Management Office (PMO) NCR-South officially welcomed the international luxury cruise ship Azamara Onward as it docked at Pier 15, Manila South Harbor, at approximately 12:15 PM on March 20, 2026.

The vessel, carrying 620 passengers and 392 crew members, arrived for an overnight call, marking another milestone in the Philippinesโ€™ growing status as a premier cruise destination.

To facilitate a world-class experience for the visiting tourists, the PMO NCR-South coordinated extensive logistical support:

  • City Tours: Five dedicated shuttle buses were deployed for tours within the historic walled city of Intramuros.

  • Regional Excursions: An additional fleetโ€”including nine buses, two coasters, three vans, and a private carโ€”was mobilized for shore excursions spanning Manila and the scenic highlands of Tagaytay.

Under the personal supervision of PMO NCR-South officials, the port implemented rigorous security and traffic management protocols. The Port Police and specialized security personnel were on-site to ensure the orderly flow of passengers and vehicles.

In a gesture of maritime hospitality, family members of the ship’s crew were granted boarding privileges for visits. To manage this process efficiently, a dedicated holding area was established at the Eva Macapagal Cruise Terminal, ensuring a comfortable and secure environment for all visitors.

Following its successful overnight stay, the Azamara Onward departed for Hong Kong at 4:00 PM on March 21, 2026. The PMO NCR-South remains committed to providing top-tier port services to promote the Philippine cruise tourism industry.
