Ocean Fast Ferries, Inc. (OceanJet) has advised the traveling public of temporary trip cancellations on the Cebu-Getafe-Cebu route.
These adjustments are a necessary safety precaution due to forecasted extreme low tides and negative sea water levels at Getafe Port.
Data indicates that during the specific periods in April, water levels will drop below the safety threshold required for the safe navigation, docking, and undocking of vessels at the new Getafe Port berth. To ensure the integrity of our vessels and, most importantly, the safety of our passengers and crew, the following daily schedules are cancelled:
-
April 1 to April 8, 2026
-
April 16 to April 22, 2026
| Route | Departure Time |
| Cebu to Getafe | 5:00 PM |
| Getafe to Cebu | 6:45 PM |
OceanJet sincerely apologizes for any disruption these natural tidal conditions may cause to your travel plans. We are committed to assisting all affected “Jetters” through the following options:
-
Rebooking & Refunds: Passengers may rebook their trips for an alternative date or apply for a full refund. This can be processed at any OceanJet ticketing office or conveniently online via oceanjet.net/manage-booking.
-
Customer Support: For clarifications or further assistance, customers may reach out via our official Facebook Page or contact our Cebu office directly at (032) 255 7560.
“The safety of our operations is our highest priority,” said an OceanJet spokesperson. “The current sea level projections at the new Getafe berth present a navigational risk that we cannot overlook. We thank our passengers for their continued patience and understanding.”
Normal operations for the affected time slots are expected to resume once water levels stabilize outside of the aforementioned dates.
