Lalamove offers cash support for Flores de Mayo activities

Lalamove, one of the leading on-demand app-based logistics and delivery platforms, is extending cash assistance to winning barangays for their Flores de Mayo festival activities.
Djon Nacario, Managing Director of Lalamove Philippines, said that through its Flores de LALA contest, Lalamove is inviting eligible barangays in Luzon to share the story behind their Flores de Mayo preparations. The initiative puts the spotlight on the effort behind the celebration while offering practical support to communities mounting their local festivities.
As part of the campaign, five winning barangays will each receive PHP50,000 in cash to support their Flores de Mayo festival activities. Applications will be open until April 15, 2026.
To qualify, applicants must be Lalamove users representing barangays located in Luzon, and must have completed at least one Lalamove order within the past six months. They must also provide their Lalamove email address and mobile number, complete the official registration form available on the Flores de LALA page, and submit a signed endorsement letter from either their Parish Priest or Barangay Captain.
In extending the cash assistance, Lalamove noted that Flores de Mayo is often remembered in full color, with flowers in bloom, processions through busy streets, church grounds filling up, and communities coming together in a tradition passed down through generations. What is less visible is the work that begins long before the celebration itself: the planning, preparation, and coordination that help bring each one to life.
The initiative reflects the reality behind many community traditions: they endure because people continue to make time for them. Organizers, volunteers, families, and local leaders all help carry Flores de Mayo forward, from preparing decorations and costumes to coordinating activities and moving materials needed for the celebration.
“Flores de Mayo is a tradition that brings communities together, but behind every celebration is a great deal of preparation and coordination. Through Flores de LALA, we want to recognize that effort and give barangays practical support as they work to keep this tradition alive in their communities,” said Nacario.
