Tadano strengthens global engineering footprint with opening of Philippine Technology Center

Tadano Ltd., a global leader in lifting equipment, has officially inaugurated Tadano Technology Philippines Inc. (TTP) at Unit F, 15th Floor, Tower II, RCBC Plaza, Makati City. The ceremony was attended by 63 guests, including Tadano executives and partners, followed by an inaugural dinner at the Hexagon Lounge.

The new Philippine office is part of Tadano’s mid-term strategy, “Reaching New Heights” (FY2024–2026), aimed at advancing innovation, safety, and sustainability. TTP will serve as a design and development hub, leveraging the country’s strong pool of highly skilled, English-speaking engineers to support global product development, particularly for truck-mounted cranes and aerial work platforms.

Tadano President and CEO Toshiaki Ujiie emphasized the importance of local engineering expertise, noting that market-specific truck configurations require localized technical support to ensure optimal product integration and performance.

Centro Manufacturing Corporation, Tadano’s partner for truck-mounted cranes and aerial work platforms in the Philippines, was present to support the milestone event.

“Centro is proud to support Tadano in this important step,” said Rommel T. Juan, VP for Marketing of Centro Manufacturing. “This investment affirms the Philippines’ capability as a global engineering hub and strengthens our shared mission to deliver world-class lifting and access solutions tailored to local and regional needs.”

TTP started  operations in late February 2026 with an initial team of approximately 20 engineers, reinforcing Tadano’s commitment to Southeast Asia and sustainable growth.
