In his official message marking the culmination of Holy Week, the President highlighted the significance of Christ’s Resurrection as a symbol of triumph over despair. He urged Filipinos to translate the solemnity of the season into tangible acts of kindness that contribute to the vision of a Bagong Pilipinas (New Philippines).
“The empty tomb stands as a powerful testament that life conquers death and hope prevails over despair,” President Marcos stated. “Let us build a nation where kindness is instinct and unity is our strength.”
Emphasizing the Filipino people’s inherent resilience, the Chief Executive noted that Easter serves as a timeless reminder that sacrifice is never in vain. He encouraged the public to move beyond mere words and integrate the values of the Lenten season into their daily lives.
