IBPAP to ensure proper implementation of CREATE MORE

The  IT-Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) said it will support and ensure the proper implementation of CREATE MORE so that it will translate into tangible benefits for investors, enterprises, and the workforce.

The voice of the IT-business process management (IT-BPM) issued this statement following the signing Monday of the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of the CREATE MORE, which seeks to provide more benefits to the industry.

“We will continue to work closely with government partners and stakeholders to make sure that the intent of the law is consistently interpreted and implemented on the ground and to operationalize this reform effectively, drive sustainable growth, and further solidify the Philippines’ position as a global leader in IT-BPM,” said IBPAP in a statement.

With CREATE MORE, the IBPAP expects a more stable, cost-efficient, and investor-friendly ecosystem through more streamlined and clearer regulations that can reduce administrative burdens on IT-BPM registered business enterprises.

Under the IRR, all the investment promotion agencies are given the flexibility to allow their registered locators to have a 50 percent work-from-home arrangement.

“We look forward to sustained collaboration in maximizing the impact of this vital reform—empowering businesses, expanding employment opportunities, and accelerating the country’s digital economy,” IBPAP said.

IBPAP was heavily involved during the amendment process having been given adequate opportunities to present and discuss the industry’s views and insights on sections of the law that needed to be strengthened.

Finance Secretary Ralph Recto and Trade and Industry Secretary Ma. Cristina Aldeguer-Roque signed the IRR on Monday, Feb. 17.
