Philippine Airlines (PAL) recently held prestigious award ceremonies to celebrate the outstanding contributions of its top travel partners from the Philippines and around the world. These awards, recognizing the pivotal role travel agents play in global tourism and PAL’s business success, were hosted from March 3 to 7, 2025, at the luxurious Discovery Samal Resort in Davao City. This year’s PAL Awards marked a significant milestone, as it was the first time in the airline’s 84-year history that both local and international agents were honored together in a single venue.
The 2025 PAL Awards, which serve as an annual highlight of PAL’s collaboration with its key stakeholders in the travel industry, welcomed esteemed travel partners, special guests, senior airline executives, and members of PAL’s international sales team. This year’s events were divided into two segments: the PAL Awards Philippines and the PAL Awards International.
The PAL Awards Philippines, held on March 3 and 4, honored more than 150 participants from 54 local travel agencies and service providers. Awardees were recognized for their outstanding performance and were treated to insightful product presentations. Notable speakers included Honorable Tanya Rabat-Tan, Regional Director of the Department of Tourism (DOT) Region XI, and PAL’s executives, including Salvador Britanico, Jr., Vice President for Sustainability and Strategy, and Alvin Miranda, Vice President for Marketing.
On March 5 and 6, the PAL Awards International recognized over 150 participants from 95 travel companies spanning PAL’s global sales regions, including North America, Oceania, East Asia, the Middle East, Europe, India, and more. This international gathering provided a platform for both local and overseas partners to connect, exchange ideas, and explore new opportunities for promoting both leisure and business travel to the Philippines. With PAL’s extensive network of nonstop flights, partners were able to discuss enhanced connectivity and travel convenience for global travelers.
“PAL’s success in connecting people—whether Filipino or foreign—to meaningful destinations is a direct result of the strong partnerships we have with our global travel agency network,” said PAL President and Chief Operating Officer Capt. Stanley K. Ng. “We are deeply grateful for your unwavering support, dedication, and trust, which continually elevate Philippine Airlines to new heights each year.”
As part of the awards festivities, PAL’s top travel awardees enjoyed an exclusive tour of Davao, in partnership with DOT Region XI. The tour featured some of the region’s top tourist attractions, including the Philippine Eagle Center, Malagos Garden Resort and Chocolate Museum, and the Poblacion Market.
This historic event was a testament to the strong partnerships PAL continues to nurture with the global travel community, propelling the airline toward greater success in the years ahead.
