Cebu Pacific accelerates growth with fleet and network expansion in 2024

Cebu Pacific, the Philippines’ leading airline, reaffirmed its commitment to sustained growth and innovation following a landmark year of fleet expansion and network development in 2024. During its Annual Stockholders’ Meeting, CEB highlighted its achievements and outlined a strategic roadmap to cement its leadership in domestic and international markets.

“Our work over the past couple of years has placed Cebu Pacific in a position to take advantage of the Philippine growth story,” said Cebu Pacific Chairman Lance Gokongwei. “We are confident that our airline will continue to reach new highs – on the back of the outstanding work of the organization, other stakeholders, and of course, your unwavering support.”

In 2024, CEB recorded historic growth, driven by record-breaking passenger numbers and consistently high seat load factors. The airline reinforced its operational capabilities by taking delivery of 17 new aircraft and enhancing regional connectivity through developing key hubs across the country.

Michael Szucs, Chief Executive Officer of Cebu Pacific, emphasized the importance of these investments: “By seizing these opportunities, we have not only outpaced competition but also solidified our position as industry leader.”

Thanks to its robust strategy, Cebu Pacific emerged as the top carrier in the Philippine international market in 2024, while further strengthening its domestic market leadership. Szucs expressed strong confidence in the airline’s outlook for 2025, noting early indicators of market absorption of added capacity and the positive implications for financial performance.

Further supporting its long-term vision, Cebu Pacific signed a historic order for up to 152 aircraft in 2024, marking one of the largest fleet expansions in Philippine aviation history. This order reflects CEB’s dedication to making air travel more accessible, and to powering the country’s economic and tourism growth for years to come.

“Our strategy is built around the Philippines’ unique economic, geographic, and demographic advantages,” added Szucs. “With continued innovation and investment, we are shaping the future of air travel in the region.”
