SEC opens new public assistance and complaints desk to streamline services

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) today announced the official opening of its new Public Assistance and Complaints Desk (PACD), a dedicated physical help desk designed to enhance service efficiency, streamline processes, and provide greater accessibility for public inquiries and concerns. The PACD, located on the ground floor of the SEC Headquarters, commenced operations on July 1, 2025.

The PACD will serve as a central point for on-site client inquiries, feedback, and complaints, facilitating direct public consultation and ensuring prompt responses to stakeholders’ concerns. This initiative aligns with the Anti-Red Tape Authority standards, reinforcing the SEC’s commitment to responsive and efficient government service.

“The opening of PACD demonstrates the Commission’s commitment to the ease of doing business in the Philippines as we provide the public with greater transparency and access to our services,” stated SEC Chairperson Francis Lim. “Vital in earning the public’s trust and confidence in the SEC is the provision of quality and faster services. As we directly engage with clients through the helpdesk, we hope to encourage more businesses to register with the SEC and tap the capital market for growth.”

The establishment of the PACD is in full compliance with Republic Act No. 11032, also known as the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018, and its implementing rules and regulations. This act mandates all government agencies to establish such desks to offer consultation and advice to their clients.

To ensure maximum accessibility, the PACD will be operational even during breaktime. Special lanes will also be provided to accommodate senior citizens, pregnant women, and persons with disabilities, ensuring inclusive service for all.

In addition to the physical help desk, the public can continue to reach the SEC through its call center hotline at 02-5322-7696. For specific transactions, direct email contact with relevant SEC departments and offices remains an option, and further concerns can be lodged via the online portal at imessagemo.sec.gov.ph.
