Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac today joined President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. during the official launch and walkthrough of the Bagong Pilipinas eGovPH Serbisyo Hub in San Juan City, personally assisting an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) in navigating government services.
The event marked a significant step towards streamlining government transactions and making essential services more accessible to Filipinos, particularly OFWs. Secretary Cacdac, alongside President Marcos and Assistant Secretary Francis Ron De Guzman, actively guided OFW clients in availing themselves of various Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) services through the innovative eGovPH application.
“This direct and immediate support is part of our commitment to make government services more accessible, faster, and responsive to the needs of OFWs and their families,” stated Secretary Cacdac. “We are here to help them build better and more secure lives as they return home.”
The DMW’s dedicated booth at the newly launched Serbisyo Hub offers a comprehensive suite of on-site services tailored to support returning OFWs. These include crucial financial awareness seminars, practical small business management training, immediate legal assistance, and a robust referral system designed to ensure OFWs receive holistic support as they embark on new chapters in the Philippines.
The establishment of the Bagong Pilipinas eGovPH Serbisyo Hub reinforces the government’s dedication to providing efficient, integrated, and responsive public services, ensuring that OFWs and their families are well-supported throughout their journey.
