One Stop Warehousing Solutions, Inc. (OWSI), a member of Magsaysay Shipping & Logistics (MSL), has officially received its Enterprise-Based Education and Training (EBET) accreditation from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). This milestone makes OWSI the first enterprise in the TESDA-NCR region (Muntinlupa, Parañaque, Las Piñas, Taguig, and Pateros) to achieve this distinction under the newly launched EBET Program.
This recognition also marks OWSI as the first-ever EBET-accredited enterprise within the Magsaysay Shipping and Logistics group, setting a new standard for training and development within the company.
A New Era for Industry-Led Training
The EBET Program, signed into law by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and implemented by TESDA, is designed to unify and streamline various training systems into a single, industry-led framework. Its primary goal is to close the skills gap by ensuring that graduates and trainees are equipped with the competencies needed by the modern workforce, making them job-ready upon completion.
Empowering the Workforce and Community
Through this accreditation, OWSI is launching two key initiatives:
- Upskilling Programs: These programs will enhance the capabilities of OWSI’s current employees, focusing on operational excellence, safety, and productivity.
- General EBET Programs: OWSI will now be able to provide specialized skills training to TESDA-endorsed trainees, including relatives of employees. This training can lead to a National Certificate (NC II) certification, significantly boosting their employability.
With this accreditation, MSL and OWSI are strengthening their commitment to developing a highly skilled workforce, fostering future industry leaders, and elevating training standards across the logistics sector. This initiative continues the company’s long-standing dedication to building an agile, competitive, and future-ready workforce.
