Cebu Pacific bolsters capacity for peak holiday season with delivery of brand-new Airbus A320neo

Cebu Pacific (CEB), the Philippines’ leading carrier, today announced the arrival of a brand-new Airbus A320neo (tail number RP-C4164, MSN 12824), strategically boosting its narrow-body fleet and ensuring increased capacity ahead of the anticipated peak holiday travel season.

The A320neo is the first single-aisle jet and the fourth aircraft delivered to Cebu Pacific this year, arriving directly from the Airbus assembly facility in Toulouse, France. The three prior deliveries were Airbus A330neo widebody aircraft, which have allowed CEB to diversify its fleet utilization by deploying the larger jets on domestic routes such as Puerto Princesa, Cebu, Davao, and General Santos.

The new A320neo will be immediately deployed on regional routes, further strengthening Cebu Pacific’s extensive domestic and international networks to meet heightened passenger demand.

Xander Lao, CEB President and Chief Commercial Officer, emphasized the timing of the acquisition: “This latest delivery helps ensure we have enough capacity to serve passengers looking to fly home or discover new destinations this holiday season. We’re committed to making travel more accessible and convenient, especially during this time of year when more Filipinos take to the skies.”

The latest delivery is a key component of the airline’s ongoing long-term fleet modernization program. Cebu Pacific is set to receive three more jets in the coming months, reinforcing its commitment to safe, reliable, and accessible air travel across its network.
