SIA Engineering completes major maintenance and modification for Philippine Airlines Airbus A330

SIA Engineering Philippines (SIAEP), a leading provider of aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services,  announced the successful completion and re-delivery of a major maintenance project on an Airbus A330-300 aircraft (RP-C8764) belonging to its valued client, Philippine Airlines (PAL), the national flag carrier of the Philippines.

The comprehensive work package, performed at SIAEP’s facility in Clark, involved a critical Landing Gear Change (LGX), ensuring the aircraft’s continued operational safety and reliability. Furthermore, the aircraft underwent a key structural enhancement: the Trimmable Horizontal Stabilizer Actuator (THSA) Elevator Load Sensing Device (ELSD) Modification.

The successful execution of this modification is a testament to SIAEP’s advanced technical capabilities and commitment to supporting PAL in maintaining a modern and safe fleet in compliance with the latest airworthiness directives.

Commitment to Safety and Operational Excellence

“We are deeply honored to once again support our esteemed client, Philippine Airlines, in bringing RP-C8764 back into service, ready to fly the flag high,” said a spokesperson for SIAEP. “This successful re-delivery, particularly the complex LGX and mandatory THSA ELSD Modification, underscores SIAEP’s unwavering mission and humble contribution to keeping the Filipino skies, and beyond, safe, secure, and soaring high. We take immense pride in standing behind every flight PAL operates.”

The timely completion of this heavy maintenance package allows Philippine Airlines to swiftly reintegrate the aircraft into its active fleet, supporting its domestic and international network expansion and operational schedules.

A Strong Partnership in Aviation

The success of this project is attributed to the seamless collaboration and meticulous planning between the technical teams of both SIAEP and Philippine Airlines.

“Hats off to the dedicated SIAEP and PAL maintenance and engineering teams for yet another outstanding success. Their professionalism and joint effort were instrumental in the on-time, high-quality completion of this critical work,” the SIAEP spokesperson added.

SIAEP continues to solidify its role as a trusted MRO partner, committed to operational excellence and supporting the Philippine aviation sector’s growth and stringent safety standards.
