DoubleDragon Corporation (DD) Chairman Edgar “Injap” Sia II officially activated the company’s next decade of growth, transitioning from a period of “battle-hardening” into a bold 10-year expansion phase, during today’s annual stockholders’ meeting.
Reflecting on the five years from 2020 to 2025, Sia noted that the company has emerged from a series of unprecedented global and domestic economic shocks—ranging from the pandemic to geopolitical instabilities—stronger than ever.
“2020 to 2025 were extraordinarily challenging times,” Sia stated. “The level of prolonged turbulence we faced would typically only be survived by companies established long before I was born. However, with the support of our stakeholders, DoubleDragon has not only thrived but transformed into a battle-tested organization, now fully prepared to pursue its next phase of intense growth.”
The centerpiece of the meeting was the formal activation of the DD 10-Year Grand Vision (2025–2035). Sia outlined five specific pillars designed to elevate DoubleDragon into a primary pillar of the Philippine economy:
-
Financial Scale: Exceed ₱500 Billion in global consolidated annual revenue and ₱50 Billion in annual net income by 2035.
-
Domestic Dominance: Optimize the existing hard asset portfolio across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, completing a footprint in all 82 provinces of the Philippines.
-
Global Expansion: Establish a Hotel101 Global footprint in 100 countries by 2035.
-
Financial Resilience: Transition DoubleDragon into a totally Debt-Free company by 2035.
-
Shareholder Value: Generate annual cash dividends exceeding ₱12 Billion by 2035.
“This vision will make DoubleDragon one of the major Dollar recurring inflow generators for the Philippine economy,” Sia added.
Sia also highlighted a historic milestone for Filipino hospitality: the opening of the 680-room Hotel101 in Madrid, Spain, in March 2026. This marks the first time a homegrown Filipino hotel brand will welcome guests on such a scale in Europe.
“This formally marks the beginning of our journey to spread a Filipino brand and a novel asset-light business model across the globe,” said Sia. “We aim to bring a sense of pride and honor to our fellow Filipinos, whether they are at home or traveling abroad.”
Chairman Sia concluded by reaffirming the commitment of the entire DoubleDragon team to the “hard work, entrepreneurial grit, and firm perseverance” required to turn the 2035 vision into a reality.
