New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC), the operator of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, confirms that a ceiling panel collapsed earlier today, April 3, 2026, at approximately 10:43 a.m.
The incident occurred at the West Arrival Curb C area, located outside the passenger terminal building of NAIA Terminal 1, near a food concession outlet.
Following the incident, NNIC’s emergency protocols were immediately activated. Seven individuals in the vicinity sustained minor injuries and were attended to on-site by the NNIC medical team.

Status of Affected Individuals: All seven individuals are reported to be in stable condition.

On-Site Coordination: NNIC medical staff, airport security personnel, and the PNP Aviation Security Group (AVSEGROUP) responded instantaneously to secure the perimeter and provide comprehensive assistance to those affected.
NNIC is maintaining direct communication with the injured parties to ensure they receive all necessary medical support and further assistance as required.
To ensure the safety of the public, the affected area was immediately cordoned off. NNIC’s engineering department conducted a thorough inspection of the surrounding ceiling sections and the structural integrity of the immediate vicinity.
