Grab and MOVE IT drivers, motorcycle taxi and delivery drivers successfully generated PHP2.6 million in direct savings for the period March to April 2026 from the strategic fuel discount granted to them by SEAOIL, one of the country’s leading and largest independent fuel company in the Philippines.
The partnership is among several initiatives under the Grab Bayanihan Fuel Crisis Support Program, which is geared at cushioning the impact of rising fuel prices on its partners.
The collaboration leverages SEAOIL’s PriceLOCQ app to provide Grab and MOVE IT partners with exclusive digital fuel management tools. The Grab and MOVEIT-specific campaigns offered relief to partners, with discounts reaching as high as PHP8.73 per liter.
This milestone reflects the program’s effectiveness in providing critical economic relief to the transport community amidst fluctuating global oil prices.
The partnership is a synergy between SEAOIL’s Kabalikat Mo sa Hanapbuhay campaign and the Grab and MOVE IT Bayanihan Fuel Crisis Support Program. The program brings together multiple initiatives aimed at helping cushion the impact of rising fuel prices on driver-, delivery-, and motorcycle taxi partners.
From March to April alone, Grab reported mobilizing PHP350 million for the program through commission rebates, incentives, spot bonuses, and other partner-support initiatives.
“We are fully committed to this partnership because we understand that it is the transport and delivery professionals who are keeping our commuters and goods moving every single day. By giving them the tools to lock in fuel prices and access significant discounts, we are saving them money at the pump and helping them secure their livelihood. These drivers and riders are the backbone of our economy, and we want to make sure they can keep moving forward without the constant worry of fluctuating fuel costs,” shared Seaoil CFO and President for Retail Business Mark Yu.
GrabCar Philippines General Manager Gines Barot emphasized that the primary goal is to support the livelihood of all partners by reducing their operational costs. “We are incredibly proud to work with like-minded partners like SEAOIL who share our dedication to supporting transport professionals. Every peso saved on fuel is a peso that goes straight back to a driver’s family. By reaching this milestone, we’ve proven that when institutions in our sector and beyond come together, we can provide a real, tangible safety net for our transport professionals. We will continue to innovate and find new ways to keep their operational costs down.”

“For MOVE IT, malasakit is something we work to translate into concrete support for our rider-partners. This partnership with SEAOIL and MOVE IT is a strong example of that shared malasakit in action. By helping riders reduce their fuel expenses, we are helping protect their daily earnings while sustaining the essential mobility services they provide to Filipino commuters every day. We are grateful to partners who stand with us in finding practical ways to ease the burden on our riders, especially during periods of fuel price volatility,” said Wayne Jacinto, General Manager of MOVE IT.
The program currently utilizes two primary digital pathways within the PriceLOCQ app to deliver these savings. The Top-Up Liter Balance feature allows riders and drivers to purchase fuel at current prices for future use, while LOCQPay offers a seamless scan-to-pay feature that applies instant discounts at the station. SEAOIL Philippines noted that the strong adoption of these digital solutions proves they are the future of fuel management, providing a consistent safety net for those who keep the Philippine economy moving.
Looking ahead, the partnership is expected to expand further in the coming quarters. Plans are already underway for more exclusive “Super Sale” events designed to provide even deeper financial relief for the thousands of hardworking individuals within the Grab and MOVE IT communities.
