The Bureau of Customs (BOC) is targeting a PHP1-trillion total collection milestone this year after surpassing revenue collection goals for both the month of June and the first half of 2026.
Under the leadership of Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno, the agency generated PHP86.073 billion in June alone, reinforcing its critical role in funding the national development agenda under the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
During a press briefing in Vancouver, Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro highlighted that these impressive figures align directly with President Marcos’ directive to enhance revenue generation for the benefit of the Filipino people.
Castro reported the following BOC accomplishments:

June 2026 Collections: Reached PHP86.073 billion, outperforming the monthly target by PHP2.853 billion.

Mid-Year Total (January – June 2026): Accumulated PHP491.748 billion, surpassing the semi-annual target by PHP11.478 billion.

Year-on-Year Growth: Posted a 7.2 percent increase compared to the same period in 2025.
The BOC attributes this sustained upward trajectory to a three-pronged strategic approach:

Unified District Performance: Coordinated operational excellence across all 17 collection districts nationwide.

Rigorous Border Security: Intensified law enforcement operations against smuggling and illicit trade.

Digital Transformation: The continuous modernization and automation of customs systems and processes to improve efficiency and reduce transaction friction.
