Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno received commendations from the Philippine Iron & Steel Institute (PISI) and the Cement Manufacturers Association of the Philippines (CeMAP) for the Bureau of Customs’ (BOC) strong revenue performance and customs reforms.
As key industry partners of the Bureau, PISI and CeMAP welcomed the continued improvements in customs processes, citing the Bureau’s increasingly professional, transparent, and service-oriented approach. Both organizations expressed confidence that these initiatives will further strengthen trade facilitation, promote fair competition, and support the country’s economic growth.
In separate messages, the organizations lauded the Bureau’s achievements. PISI stated, “We commend your leadership and the commitment of the entire BOC workforce in ensuring that every peso collected serves the Filipino people. May this milestone inspire continued excellence in service and integrity.” The organization recognized the dedication of the Bureau’s leadership and workforce, expressing confidence that this achievement will inspire continued excellence, integrity, and commitment to public service.
CeMAP likewise conveyed, “We commend you and the entire Bureau of Customs for this significant achievement and look forward to even greater collaboration as the Bureau continues to build a more efficient, effective, and globally competitive customs administration. Mabuhay po kayo, Commissioner Ariel, at ang kabuuan ng Bureau of Customs!” expressing support for deeper collaboration with the BOC as it continues to advance a more efficient and globally competitive customs administration.
The commendations reflect the growing confidence of the business community in the Bureau’s reform initiatives and underscore the importance of sustained collaboration between government and industry in fostering a more efficient and predictable trading environment.
In response, Commissioner Nepomuceno expressed his gratitude to the Bureau’s industry partners and reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to continuous improvement.

Malaking inspirasyon para sa amin ang pagkilalang ito dahil patunay itong nararamdaman ng ating mga stakeholders ang mga pagbabagong ginagawa ng Bureau. Hindi lang ito tagumpay ng Bureau of Customs—tagumpay ito ng bawat Pilipino. Patuloy naming pagbubutihin ang aming serbisyo, palalakasin ang transparency at accountability, at sisiguraduhing mas mabilis, mas maayos, at mas patas ang ating customs processes para sa ikauunlad ng ating ekonomiya.”
