Department of Tourism (DoT) Secretary Maria Bernardita “Dita” Angara-Mathay conducted an ocular inspection at Clark International Airport (CRK) today to evaluate gateway readiness ahead of the upcoming 49th ASEAN Leaders’ Plus Summit and Related Summits.
Secretary Angara-Mathay was joined by key delegations from the Office of the President (OP) Site Enhancement Team and the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) to review arrival protocols, infrastructure upgrades, and overall passenger experience enhancements.
As the Philippines proudly assumes the ASEAN Chairship in 2026, Clark International Airport is poised to play a vital logistical role. The premier gateway will serve as the primary arrival and departure hub for visiting Heads of State and Government, Ministers, official delegates, international media representatives, and esteemed special guests representing ASEAN Member States, Dialogue and External Partners, and Guests of the Chair.
