In a major boost for the country’s creative economy, the Department of Trade and Industry–Export Marketing Bureau (DTI-EMB), Xsolla, and the Game Developers Association of the Philippines (GDAP) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) during the Philippine GameDev Expo (PGDX) 2026.
The strategic partnership is designed to transform Filipino game studios into globally competitive powerhouses. By combining government backing, global industry expertise, and local leadership, the alliance will equip local developers with critical tools to expand internationally.
The tripartite agreement leverages the unique strengths of each organization to drive comprehensive industry growth:

Xsolla: Contributes world-class expertise in game commerce, publishing, monetization, advanced payment solutions, and global distribution networks.

Through targeted mentorship, workshops, business matching sessions, trade missions, and international industry engagements, the collaboration targets several key outcomes:

The MOU was formally signed by DTI-EMB Director Bianca Pearl R. Sykimte, Xsolla Senior Vice President for APAC Juyeon Lee, and GDAP President Ria Lu.
