Japanese-owned Ohgitani Philippines Inc. has expanded its warehousing operation in the country with the addition of a new building at the Light Industry and Science Park (LISP) in Cabuyao, Laguna.
PEZA Deputy Director General (DDG) for Operations Vivian S. Santos joined Cabuyao City Mayor Dennis Hain, Ohgitani Philippines Inc. Managing Director Yoshitaka Kataoka, Ohgitani Corporation President Michichiro Ogitani, LISP I Administrator Mark Calauag, LISP I Acting Zone Manager Arch. Mariano Magistrado III and other officials during the ribbon-cutting and inauguration ceremony last April 2, 2025.
In her remarks, DDG Santos reaffirmed PEZA’s commitment and unwavering support to Ohgitani’s operations and future endeavors. She likewise underscored the significance of such business expansion in supporting businesses’ efficient and competitive operations within the ecozones. “This new warehouse would further strengthen the Ohgitani’s capability to meet the evolving demand of industries, especially in Laguna – one of the country’s premier industrial hubs,” she said.
The inauguration also featured the Signing of Documents for the official transfer of the warehouse between Ohgitani President Ogitani and CCT Construction Corporation President Kaname Futaki.
Ogitani emphasized that this remarkable achievement will enhance the company’s warehouse management, distribution system, and production system in creating suitable and high-value products.
This development aligns with PEZA’s vision of eco-zoning the country towards inclusive and sustainable development with the strong support of its locators, industry partners, and government agencies.
