PAL launches enhanced self-service experience at NAIA Terminals 1 & 2 for faster passenger journey

Philippine Airlines (PAL) is proud to announce the activation of enhanced self-service check-in and security processing facilities at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminals 1 and 2. This initiative is designed to significantly reduce waiting times, streamline the pre-flight procedures, and provide a more efficient and stress-free airport experience for eligible passengers.

PAL is encouraging travelers to “Skip the Lines and Enjoy a Faster Airport Experience” by utilizing the new technology.

Seamless Digital Check-in and Security Process

Eligible PAL passengers departing from NAIA Terminals 1 and 2 can now take full advantage of the dedicated self-service kiosks. These kiosks allow passengers to:

  • Self-Check-in: Complete the check-in process independently.
  • Seat Selection: Choose or change their preferred seating assignment.
  • Boarding Pass Printing: Immediately print their official boarding pass.

Following the self-service check-in, eligible passengers can also benefit from the government’s e-Gate security system (Immigration and Emigration). This allows for rapid verification and clearance, moving travelers quickly toward the departure lounge.

To ensure smooth processing and compliance with airport regulations, the self-service facilities and e-Gates are available to PAL passengers who do not have an onward connecting flight and meet any one of the following criteria:

Eligibility Group Requirement Details
Filipino Nationals Holding a valid Philippine passport with at least six (6) months validity.
Domestic Travelers Traveling on any Philippine domestic route (all nationalities).
Eligible Foreign Nationals Nationals of countries identified by the Bureau of Immigration (BOI) as eligible for e-Gate usage.

PAL advises passengers to confirm their eligibility for the e-Gate system on the day of travel/

PAL continues to explore and implement digital solutions across its operations to uphold its mission of providing safe, comfortable, and convenient air travel.
