Philippines debuts first-ever national pavilion, makes strong mark at SEMICON Europa 2025

The Philippines is solidifying its position in the global semiconductor and electronics value chain with the debut of its first-ever national pavilion at SEMICON Europa 2025, held at Messe München, Germany, a premier global industry platform.

The coordinated participation showcased the nation’s rising competitiveness across semiconductors, Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS), and Integrated Circuit (IC) design. The delegation was co-organized by the Department of Trade and Industry–Export Marketing Bureau (DTI-EMB), the Board of Investments (BOI), the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Berlin (PTIC-Berlin).

Six innovative, home-grown Filipino companies were featured, underscoring the depth and capability of the local industry. As the lead investment promotion agency, the BOI actively championed the Philippines’ strategic role in the global electronics value chain through high-level engagements.

The Philippine delegation held strategic meetings with key industry groups, including the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (ZVEI), the Netherlands delegation, and Bayern Innovativ. These discussions centered on exploring robust opportunities for partnerships in advanced manufacturing and next-generation electronics technologies.

Furthermore, the BOI engaged directly with specialized exhibitors focusing on key supply chain segments, such as sensors, precision components, cables and connectors, and high-tech manufacturing solutions. These proactive efforts strengthen the Philippines’ position as a trusted partner for high-value foreign investments in the critical semiconductor and electronics sector.
