FAST Logistics wins runner-up for ‘Improver Award’ at global CVC Sustainability Awards

FAST Logistics Group, the Philippines’ premier end-to-end logistics solutions provider, has been named Runner-Up for the Improver Award at the prestigious CVC Sustainability Awards.

This international recognition highlights the company’s significant, measurable progress in integrating environmental, social, and commercial sustainability into its core operations.

The awards, hosted by global private equity firm CVC Capital Partners, evaluate over 150 portfolio companies worldwide. The program recognizes leadership and innovation in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) performance, focusing on work completed during the 2024 calendar year.

The CVC awards panel praised FAST for its “strong progress and momentum,” specifically noting the company’s strategic investments in:

  • Fleet Electrification: Leading the transition toward electric vehicles (EVs) in the Philippine logistics sector.

  • Renewable Energy: Rapid adoption of solar power and renewable energy contracts.

  • Operational Efficiency: Enhancing supply chain routes to deliver both environmental benefits and commercial value. “Guided by our ESG strategy and our commitment to achieving net zero carbon by 2050, we are accelerating investments that reduce emissions while strengthening our service capabilities for customers,” said Manuel L. Onrejas Jr., FAST CEO for Logistics. “This recognition affirms that we prioritize sustainability in how we operate, innovate, and grow.”

In the past year, FAST has achieved several critical decarbonization milestones:

  • Solar Expansion: Installed $470.9 \text{ kWp}$ of rooftop solar capacity, powering at least 20% of key warehouse requirements.

  • 100% Renewable Power: Transitioned three major warehouses to fully renewable energy via Power Purchase Agreements.

  • Carbon Reduction: Successfully reduced warehouse carbon emissions by 2,875.68 tons of $CO_2e$.

  • Fleet Modernization: Phased out fuel-inefficient units in favor of EVs and implemented AI-driven route optimization to lower Scope 1 emissions.

Beyond environmental metrics, the awards panel noted that FAST has embedded sustainability into its operational DNA. By improving its EcoVadis score, FAST has strengthened its position as a preferred partner for multinational clients who prioritize low-carbon supply chains and rigorous ESG compliance.

“While we are honored, we see this as a challenge to do even better,” added Onrejas. “This award inspires us to continue building a logistics network that creates long-term value for our customers, our communities, and our planet.”
