Toyota and Lexus named mobility partner for ASEAN 2026

Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMP), through its luxury brand Lexus Philippines, has been named as the official mobility partner for the summit’s highest-level engagements during the Philippine Chairship of ASEAN 2026.
As the official mobility partner, Lexus will deploy a fleet of electrified vehicles to support the transportation needs of heads of state and official delegates. This includes Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) models such as the Lexus LS500 and LM350, underscoring a shared vision for regional sustainability and innovation. The fleet will be utilized across key summit locations, including Cebu and Manila, ensuring refined, reliable mobility throughout the event.

“By serving as the official mobility partner for ASEAN 2026, we aim to demonstrate how secure, seamless mobility can coexist with a deep commitment to nation-building and a sustainable future,” said TMP President Masando Hashimoto.
“Through our electrified lineup, we are providing more than just transport for the region’s highest-level engagements but we are also showcasing a forward-thinking pathway to electrified elegance that prioritizes both quiet refinement and our collective responsibility toward a greener, more resilient ASEAN.”
The ASEAN National Organising Council (NOC) emphasized the partnership signals an important focus on sustainability within the region. The deployment of electrified vehicles is fitting for the critical dialogues on environmental sustainability, climate resilience, and energy security among regional leaders and policymakers.
This move further highlights the “Lexus Electrified” vision, which continues to offer a range of vehicles, including the all-electric RZ, as well as hybrids like the RX 350h and the NX350h, that combine comfort, luxury with lower-emission mobility.
To support this mission, Lexus continues to highlight its robust charging and dealer support network, ensuring that premium electric driving is practical and convenient across key areas in the country, from Lexus Manila Gallery to 14 participating Toyota dealers nationwide.
Toyota and Lexus’ participation is part of the ASEAN 2026 Corporate Citizenship Programme, which integrates private sector innovation to elevate the hosting of the 48th and 49th ASEAN Summits.
On top of the Lexus shuttles for regional leaders, TMP is also supporting the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) by providing shuttle van service for working members involved in hosting key events such as the ASEAN-BAC 106th Council Meeting, the ASEAN Business & Investment Summit (ABIS), and the ASEAN Business Awards (ABA).
The Philippines has also assumed the chairship of the ASEAN-BAC, guided by the theme “Advancing Prosperity for All,” with a particular focus on building economic corridors, strengthening regional supply chains, empowering MSMEs, and advancing a digital and AI-enabled ASEAN.
