Hanseatic Global Terminals, Grupo Imetame and SANY sign equipment supply deal for new terminal in Aracruz, Brazil currently under development.
In a statement, the companies said the agreement marks an important step in the development of the greenfield terminal, Hanseatic Global Terminals Aracruz, in Aracruz, Espírito Santo, Brazil.
Hanseatic Global Terminals Aracruz was established in June 2026 as a 50/50 joint venture between Hanseatic Global Terminals and Grupo Imetame. Hanseatic Global Terminals (HGT) and Grupo Imetame – joint venture partners in HGT Aracruz – signed an agreement with Sany for the supply of key container-handling equipment, including Shipto-Shore (STS) cranes and Rubber-Tyred Gantry (RTG) cranes for the new greenfield terminal in Aracruz, Espírito Santo, Brazil.
This agreement marks a key milestone in the development of the project and reflects the joint venture partners’ commitment to building a world-class terminal. By combining operational efficiency, sustainability, and scalability, the terminal will be well positioned to support future growth and address rising customer demand.

Officially established in June 2026, the new container terminal in Aracruz, Brazil, represents a significant investment in the country’s port infrastructure.
