Elevating the standard of socialized housing in the country, key government officials and private sector leaders gathered on Tuesday for the topping-off ceremony of Avesta Residences, a fast-rising vertical housing development under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program.
The milestone event was led by Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling, DHSUD Senior Undersecretary Eduardo Robles, and Pag-IBIG Fund CEO Marilene Acosta.
Avesta Residences serves as the pioneer socialized housing initiative of PH1 World Developers Inc. and Megawide Construction Corp. enrolled under the Expanded 4PH framework. Unlike traditional horizontal socialized housing developments often located in distant areas with low occupancy rates, Avesta Residences is strategically situated inside the Imus Government Complex, directly adjacent to the Imus City Hall.
The master-planned development is set to deliver 7,000 socialized condominium units by 2028. Each unit offers 27 square meters of flexible living space—thoughtfully designed to accommodate up to a two-bedroom layout for growing families.
“The progress we see at Avesta Residences is another clear testament to the sustained, nationwide rollout of President Marcos Jr.’s Expanded 4PH Program,” said DHSUD Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling. “Our goal is to ensure that quality, dignified, and strategically located homes are brought within reach of more Filipino families, particularly our hard-working wage earners.”
The project highlights a robust public-private partnership aimed at bridging the country’s housing deficit through modern construction methodologies and sustainable urban planning.
Reaffirming the private sector’s commitment to national housing goals, Megawide CEO Edgar Saavedra expressed full support for DHSUD’s vision under Secretary Aliling’s leadership, pledging to deliver 100,000 socialized housing units under the 4PH initiative.
