The International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA), in co-organisation with the Federazione Nazionale delle Imprese di Spedizioni Internazionali (FEDESPEDI), has officially announced that the 2026 FIATA World Congress will take place in Milan from 6 to 9 October 2026.
Marking a historic milestone, the 2026 edition coincides with FIATA’s centenary anniversary, bringing together the international freight forwarding, logistics, and supply chain community for high-level strategic exchange, policy debate, and global celebration.
At the core of the Congress programme sits a series of expert panel discussions examining the critical forces currently reshaping international commerce. Key themes will focus on evolving supply chain dynamics, multimodal transport corridors, digitalisation, customs modernization, sustainability, and global risk management.
A centerpiece of the Congress agenda is Panel 1 — The New Supply Chain Landscape: Navigating Fragmentation, Uncertainty and Shifting Trade Flows.
This high-level session addresses how two decades of established supply chain norms are giving way to diversified manufacturing bases, reconfigured sourcing strategies, and the rapid rise of emerging trade regions. Combined with sustained tariff volatility, unpredictable regulatory environments, and surging cross-border e-commerce, global operators face unprecedented operational and infrastructural demands.
