The Department of Transportation–Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (DOTr MRT-3) achieved its highest daily ridership of the year on Wednesday, August 12, transporting a total of 492,597 passengers.
This milestone marks the highest single-day passenger volume recorded for 2026, following the previous high of 519,318 passengers set on December 10, 2025.
A significant contributor to Wednesday’s high turnout was the successful rollout of the #LibrengSakay initiative for National ID holders, which benefited 72,723 passengers on its first day of implementation.
