Demonstrating a unified commitment to regional growth, the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and the Provincial Government of Tarlac recently convened a high-level stakeholder consultation.
The forum brought together key leaders from business groups, the academe, civil society, and local government to map out the socioeconomic benefits and environmental safeguards of the proposed advanced manufacturing ecosystem.
Led by BCDA President and CEO Engr. Joshua M. Bingcang, the collaborative dialogue featured prominent regional leaders, including Tarlac Governor Christian Tell Yap, Vice Governor Estelita “Lita” M. Aquino, members of the Tarlac Provincial Board, municipal mayors, local clergy, and delegates from the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI).
The consultation served as an open platform for participants to evaluate critical Environmental and Social Governance (ESG) considerations, review local perspectives, and harmonize strategic objectives for Tarlac’s long-term economic trajectory.
“The success of this project must translate directly into tangible opportunities for Tarlaqueños. We are committed to ensuring that local talent, businesses, institutions, and communities have a meaningful place in the economic growth this development generates,” said Engr. Bingcang.
By bringing together diverse community sectors, the BCDA and the Provincial Government of Tarlac reinforced their mutual dedication to inclusive progress. The initiative underscores a proactive approach to sustainable industrial expansion, ensuring that large-scale economic developments are responsibly integrated with local community interests and environmental standards.
