The TIACA Sustainability Award recognizes exceptional initiatives that foster sustainable practices, enhance operational efficiency, and promote a greener future for the air cargo industry. Companies, organizations, and individuals across the air cargo supply chain are invited to submit their projects, technologies, or best practices focused on sustainability.
“We are thrilled that CHAMP Cargosystems continues to support the TIACA Sustainability Awards,” said Steven Polmans, Chair of TIACA. “This ongoing partnership is a testament to our shared commitment to environmental responsibility and innovation within the air cargo sector.”
Chris McDermott, CEO of CHAMP Cargosystems, commented, “We are proud to continue our sponsorship of the TIACA Sustainability Awards, an initiative we’ve supported for over six years. A sustainable future for air cargo is essential, and it can only be achieved through shared values, strong partnerships, and continuous innovation. We look forward to reviewing this year’s entries and working towards a greener air cargo industry.”
The application period is now open, and interested participants are encouraged to submit their entries by April 30th. A panel of industry experts will evaluate submissions based on impact, scalability, and innovation, with the winner to be announced at TIACA’s Executive Summit, taking place from June 24-26 in Hong Kong.
Two categories will be awarded for leadership in sustainability: the Corporate Prize and the Start-Up and Small Business Prize.
- The Corporate Prize will honor a well-established corporation, international organization, or scholar with a long-standing presence in the cargo community.
- The Start-Up and Small Business Prize aims to recognize and encourage emerging and small businesses that are making their mark in the air cargo industry. This category also includes a generous financial prize:
- Winner: USD 10,000
- Two runners-up: USD 2,500 each
While the Corporate Prize focuses on recognition and support, the Start-Up and Small Business Prize specifically targets innovative entrants that could benefit from financial support to grow their initiatives.
“The ongoing partnership between TIACA and CHAMP Cargosystems reflects a deep commitment to advancing sustainability in the air cargo industry,” said Glyn Hughes, TIACA’s Director General. “We are eager to see the innovations that will propel our industry toward a more sustainable future.”
