President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. spearheaded the launch of a transformative job fair in Antipolo City on Friday, aimed at providing employment opportunities to beneficiaries of government aid programs.
The event, titled “Trabaho at Serbisyong Pangkalusugan sa Bagong Pilipinas,” was designed to assist 2,000 individuals transitioning from the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) and the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).
Key government agencies, including the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), collaborated to make the job fair a success. President Marcos emphasized the importance of inter-agency cooperation, stating, “All departments and agencies are involved in programs like this. We are committed to replicating these efforts not only in Rizal but across the entire Philippines.”
A centralized “one-stop shop” was established at the event, streamlining the application process by providing essential documentation services. Agencies such as the Social Security System (SSS), Pag-IBIG Fund, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), and the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) participated in this initiative.
The job fair featured over 700 job openings from ten local employers, spanning sectors like administrative support, manufacturing, retail, and financial services. Additionally, medical missions offered free services, including ECGs, X-rays, consultations, laboratory tests, anti-dengue vaccinations, and medicines.
Since January 2025, the government has recorded 351 on-the-spot hires, including over 250 4Ps beneficiaries, through eight “Trabaho sa Bagong Pilipinas” events. Between July 2022 and January 2025, more than 4,000 job fairs nationwide have resulted in over 160,000 individuals securing employment.
President Marcos expressed gratitude to national agencies, the Antipolo City government, and private sector partners for their active participation in the initiative.
