PAL launches nonstop flights between Manila and Da Nang starting July 1

Philippine Airlines (PAL) is set to introduce direct flights between Manila and Da Nang, starting on July 1, 2025, with an initial schedule of three weekly services. This new route will connect Manila to Da Nang, the gateway to Central Vietnam’s rich cultural heritage and scenic wonders.

The Manila-Da Nang route marks PAL’s third major expansion in Vietnam this year. As the first Asian airline to offer regular flights to Vietnam, PAL has been a pioneer in the region since it began operations to Vietnam in September 1986. The airline recently upgraded its Manila-Hanoi service to a daily schedule, and it will also launch direct flights between Cebu and Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) on May 2, 2025.

“We are thrilled to strengthen our ties with the Vietnamese people through the introduction of direct Manila-Da Nang flights,” said Capt. Stanley K. Ng, PAL President and Chief Operating Officer. “This new route underscores our commitment to enhancing connectivity and supporting tourism and trade between Manila and the heart of Vietnam. We are excited to welcome both leisure and business travelers to explore Da Nang with us.”

Discover Da Nang’s Rich History and Scenic Beauty

Da Nang is a vibrant coastal city offering a perfect blend of history, natural beauty, and modern attractions. It is home to iconic landmarks such as the Marble Mountains and the Golden Bridge, as well as being a gateway to UNESCO World Heritage Sites like the ancient town of Hoi An, the archaeological site of My Son, and the majestic Imperial City of Hue.

With this new service, PAL aims to provide travelers with convenient daytime flights that maximize their time in Da Nang, allowing them to explore the city’s diverse offerings. Passengers will also enjoy the comfort of both Business and Economy Class options.

Flight Schedule and Aircraft Details

PAL’s Manila-Da Nang flights will be operated with Airbus A321 jetliners, offering a total capacity of up to 199 passengers. The flights will depart from Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, with the following schedule:

  • Departure: 11:10 AM

  • Arrival: 12:45 PM

In addition to the new Manila-Da Nang service, PAL will continue its expansion in Vietnam with the Cebu-Ho Chi Minh City route launching on May 2, 2025, and daily flights between Manila and Hanoi. PAL also operates eight weekly flights between Manila and Ho Chi Minh City.
