MAP asks gov’t to fast track critical infra, logistics link project

The Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) strongly urged the government and other parties involved to fast-track the completion of the link connecting the NLEX-SLEX Connector Road Project and the Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3, a critical logistics infrastructure segment.

“This essential infrastructure will enhance connectivity between the northern and the southern provinces, significantly reducing travel time for people, goods, and services, thereby promoting economic growth,” MAP said in a statement signed by its President Alfredo S. Panlilio and Eduardo H. Yap, MAP chair on transportation and infrastructure committee.

The link will facilitate seamless access between the NAIA and the Clark airports, as well as the ports of Bataan, Manila, and Batangas, improving operations for various businesses and boosting tourism potential.

The logistics sector will also benefit from this project, as cargo trucks will have 24/7 access to the road without concerns about truck bans. Additionally, this alternative route will help alleviate congestion on major thoroughfares in Metro Manila, including España Boulevard, Quezon Avenue, Lacson Avenue, Magsaysay Boulevard, and Quirino Avenue.

“We strongly urge the government, and the parties involved to of this project and other vital infrastructure developments for nation building,” MAP concluded.
